Bestiary of Elarion
Whether born of starlight, swamp-mist or magma, Elarion’s creatures are more than monsters; their myths, habitats and temperaments shape trade routes, folklore and the very heartbeat of magic throughout the realms.
Grove-Wyrms
Bark-scaled guardians of Galdrowen, Grove-Wyrms root themselves to ley-stones and wake only when the forest is threatened. Ancient, protective, and surprisingly wise, they sometimes bond with druids to defend sacred groves with living earth and thorn.
Thornspines
Border wardrakes bristling with toxic quills, Thornspines prowl the forest edges and hit first, hard. Their venom saps strength and courage, making even larger foes think twice about testing Galdrowen’s borders.
Verdant Embers
Born in the Era of Echoes, these small hybrids fuse fire and growth—green flame that cauterizes and seeds life in the same breath. Temperamental but loyal, Verdant Embers are symbols of the forest’s recovery.
Duskwyrms
Cloaked in fog and shadow, Duskwyrms glide through Duskfall’s mists like questions no one wants answered. Once skittish, they’ve grown cunning—speaking in riddles and vanishing between reeds the moment steel glints.
Memory Drakes
Crystal-studded drakelings that store memories along their scales, acting as living archives. Handle with care—touching the wrong glyph can flood a mind with borrowed lives, insight… or unmoored dreams.
Whisperfangs
Rare phantoms that hunt in sleeping minds, slipping through dream and shadow without a footprint. Most only know them by what they leave: silence, a chill, and a plan that suddenly isn’t yours anymore.
Sky-Dragons
Noble wind titans of Itharûn, Sky-Dragons are the heart of Warden flights and the oath they keep. Scarred by eras of war, they’re bonding again—slow, careful, and fiercely proud.
Stormriders
Lightning-veined assault drakes trained for shock strikes in high storms. Their riders time raids to thunder, and their breath turns battle lines into tangled, sparking ruin.
Embermanes
A rediscovered lineage whose fire mirrors the rider’s emotions. Guided well, they blaze with courage and care; unchecked, they can flare into dangerous, beautiful wildfire.
Mist-Dragons
Melancholy sentinels of Vaelorien’s drowned towers, weaving water and memory into veils of protection. Their mournful calls keep scavengers—and grief—at a respectful distance.
Tidewyrms
Colossal sea-serpents that patrol the ruins below, patient as tides and fiercely territorial. They form quiet, telepathic bonds with chosen keepers and can raise walls of water like shields.
Echo Serpents
Legendary resonant serpents that surface during Deep Chime events. Their song shapes stone and sea, and wise captains reef their sails when an Echo rises.
Star-Serpents
Cosmic sages spiraling Skyreach’s observatories, teaching light and time in ringing tones. Even after the Fracture shook their memories, they remain the Order’s steadiest compass.
Aetherwings
Translucent phase-wings that slip between realities, leaving prismatic wakes. Unpredictable and revered, they’re rumored to be the key to stabilizing the Aether Crown—if anyone can earn their trust.
Glimmerdrakes
Small, radiant tricksters that flit through forges and libraries casting harmless illusions. Apprentices adore them; archivists less so—especially when the drakes rearrange notes into constellations.
Magma-Drakes
Caldera-born siege beasts, all heat and horn and roaring temper. The Embercore’s touch has made some unstable, but in battle they are living avalanches of fire.
Ashwings
Smoke-trailed skirmishers that thrive in ash-choked skies. Numerous, vicious, and fast, they’re the Choir of Ember’s favorite hunters and raiders.
Cindermaws
Embercore-fed leviathans wreathed in molten plates, more weapon than mount. Their pulsefire can unmake walls—and alliances—which is why even their masters keep a wary distance.
